When warming up, such as jogging with high knees, students can count to 100 by 5's before switching to the next activity.
Students solve problems and answer with jumping jacks.i.e. 2 + 6 = 8 jumping jacks. Go!
Ask students which exercises form right angles with both knees? Answer: Lunges and Wall Sits!
Students perform static exercises (like planks and wall sits) for a certain about of time.Ask students to hold a plank for a quarter of a minute - translation: 15 seconds.
Students take three steps then bend forward to touch their toes.Count each step then shout the number as they bend forward. 3, 6, 9, 12, 15
Ask students to give examples of even or odd numbers and perform that number of exercises to reinforce even and odd numbers.
Sets and reps are a great way to describe multiplication. We're going to do 2 sets of 5 squat jumps, how many total? 10!
Laying on their backs students perform leg raises, talk about 90 degree angles (legs up) and 180 degrees angles (legs down).
Ask younger students for different shapes, jump to make the shape. i.e. four jumps makes a square. With older students, get creative with parameter and area!
